Come join 10,000 runners from all over the world as we run to Break the Silence around the sexual abuse of Deaf women and children, in the Philippines.
Did you know that, according to a recent survey conducted by the Philippine Deaf Resource Centre, 65-70% of Deaf boys and girls in the Philippines have been molested. A further study revealed that one third of female respondents had been raped.
On Sunday 19 March, Cebu City will host the Global Run to raise funds for and awareness of the Break the Silence Project, as organised by the Philippine Accessible Disability Services, Inc. (PADS).
Our run is one of many happening around the world. We will be joining runners across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia to create a global wave of awareness around this horrible crime.
After the Run, we will have a full program of activities at SM Seaside – Mountain Wing Atrium!
