J.B. has gone through controversy after controversy for the past few years, resulting into a disperse of fanbase. Many of which have thought that he would never be able to make another proper hit, let alone be taken seriously.
But yet again, talent trumps controversy. This pop track with tropical house influences has quite a catchy tune. For someone who — for a lack of a better word — genuinely despised Justin Bieber, I have to give it to the kid with this one. The song is amazingly addictive. His vocal capabilities were challenged to execute a cool and breathy sound which he pulled off quite well, in my opinion. The number of remixes this track has garnered is an indication that this song is staying for the long hall.
Released on the 28th of October this year, the track topped the charts in 17 countries and became Bieber’s first number one hit on the US Billboard Hot 100.
