Davao City – home to the Philippine eagle, Mt. Apo, and where mangosteen and durian grow abundantly.

Davao celebrate abundance, the bounty of harvest and the wealth of nature with the Kadayawan Festival, held every third week of August. The festival name holds its roots in the old Dabawenyo word “dayaw”, used to describe something valuable or beautiful.

The Kadayawan festival features the city’s cultural and creative heritage. Among its major participants are the tribes within the region. Floats adorned with flowers and carrying a melange of fresh fruits and produce parade in the streets amidst the dancing.

During the weekend celebrations, the Invasion continues this festive air and more. Enjoy local food from the Fair Park Night Market, where you can also get your souvenirs and merchandise to take with you. Watch costumed street dancers grace the grounds. Dance to your favorite DJs as well as other surprises that we have for you.

Gather all your friends!
