UNIVERCITY 2015: The Happiest College Festival Ever!

[ Press Release ]

CEBU, Philippines – Spectrum Philippines, the team behind the Invasion Tour, is back at it again: bringing the “Happiest College Festival Ever” to a much-awaited resurgence. Co-presented by SMART, the UNIVERCITY Festival engages different college students for a night of fun games and attractions, good music and school spirit.

University life is a niche for various experiences, and while students are prompted to distress and take a break occasionally, the UNIVERCITY Festival provides the best escape from academic life – by way of instilling a more interactive sphere.

Set to happen on the 19th of September at the Sugbo Open Field located at the South Road Properties, students can expect a fun experience as they are encouraged to participate in games, go on a food trip, and party with homegrown talents like the #1 DJ in the Philippines, Ace Ramos plus 3x Hypeman of the Year MC Paolo Avila, Red Bull Threestyle Cebu finalist DJ JOM, the Human Beatbox GMTFX, Gino V and Chad Fajardo, and Cebu’s very own JID Durano and Kurt Ebarita. The lineup steadily remains diverse, as it brings onto the stage some of Cebu’s most highly immersed bands Drop Decay, Shuffled, and Bethany.

The Fair Park Market awaits spectators as well, hosting some of the favorite and up-and-coming food merchants in the city, where students can go and find festival merchandise, local food brands, carnival games, the Marriage Booth and “That Booth called Tadhana”.

Meant to engage school unity and healthy inter-school rivalry, squads of students can sign up and compete with other barkadas in games such as Slip and Slide Kickball, Patintero, Japanese/Capture the Flag, Tug of War, Shoot or Dare Pong. Squads get P100 off of the ticket price plus free UNIVERCITY shirts when they register their teams.

Students and visitors can also look forward to an immersive Unity Bonfire experience at 9PM.

The Cebu City Government will also be providing their buses to shuttle students to and from the venue safely. The festival is open to all ages, and is absolutely alcohol-free.

Tickets are on sale at registered schools for P350 until September 16. Tickets will be available to the public at the gates on September 19 for P400.
